Amalgamotion has designed and manufactured moulds for a number of different concrete castings over the years.
Strippable steel moulds in various sizes were designed and manufactured to mould every one of dozens of columns at the GM Spare Parts Warehouse at Coega. In the end, many months worth of time was saved by using steel instead of traditional wood shuttering.
Curved moulds were manufactured for the FAW Pavilion in Port Elizabeth.
One of the more challenging projects we completed was a spiral staircase concrete mould, where we used a hybrid of steel and glass fibre to create a feature staircase with no central column.
